TROY JEROVETZ SECURES POLE FOR $10,000-TO-WIN TOMORROW NIGHT AT 141 SPEEDWAY

(Francis Creek, WI) June 26 – Troy Jerovetz of Green Bay battled with Benji Lacrosse of Green Bay and took the lead with two laps to go and captured the modified feature during night number one of the $10,000-to-win Clash at the Creek V at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek Wednesday night.
By virtue of his victory Troy Jerovetz secured himself a spot in the big show Thursday night. Also joining Jerovetz were the top seven finishers in the A main: Lacrosse, De Pere’s Jay Matthias, New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore, Gillett’s Tom Schaal, Denmark’s RM Van Pay, and Luxemburg’s Jared Seifert. Jerovetz secured his way into this 30 lap feature race by winning heat 4. Jerovetz grabbed the lead on lap 10 and ran up front by himself until lap 14 when Lacrosse snatched the lead with three laps to go. Jerovetz retook the lead on the next circuit and collected the win.
Lacrosse settled for runnerup money with Matthias third, defending champion Shawn Kilgore of New Franken finishing fourth. Polesitter Schaal, Van Pay and 2010 track champ Seifert took fifth through seventh, respectively
Defending Badger Mod Tour champion Brian Mullen of Seymour earned the BMT provisional by winning the 6-for-6 BMT dash. Even Though Brian Mullen won a provisional in the 50 lap $10,000 race tomorrow he’s chosen to race his way for a better starting spot. In the 30 lap A Main of night number one Mullen wound up out of the top 7 and placed 12th .
Urbana, Iowa’s Darin Duffy was the highest finishing out-of-state driver , placing ninth in the A main.
Algoma’s Todd “Felix” Dart earned the 141 Speedway provisional a week ago, and as of tonight has yet to qualify in.
70 cars from three states were on hand for the show.
A full program is on tap for tomorrow night, where the balance of the 24 car field will be set. In addition, fans will see the debut of the Iron Horse Sales & Service Badger Stock Tour presented by Kick Ass Drive Train & Iron Horse Recycling. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m.
