(Francis Creek, WI) June 11 — Sturgeon Bay’s Ryan “The Rocket” LeMieux led every lap en route to victory in the 20 lap Sportmod feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek. It was LeMieux’s first feature win here.

LeMieux scored a clean sweep in the division, and wasn’t the only one who did so on this night. Green Bay’s Jared Siefert, Pulaski’s Junior Karcz, Plymouth’s Ryan Minster and Stockbridge’s Adam Broehm each scored clean sweeps in their respective divisions.

A total of 97 cars were on hand, including 17 Modifieds, 16 stock cars, 14 Brian Peterson Grand nationals, 25 sportmods, 17 street stocks and 9 sport fours.

LeMieux jumped into the lead from his front row starting spot and never looked back, carefully sifting his way through lapped cars en route to victory. Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz charged through the field from 10th to finish second. Green Bay’s Josh Long, Two Rivers’ Jesse Brey and New Franken’s Mike Joski rounded out the top five finishers.

For Siefert it was a repeat performance of a week ago, as the defending track champion again led every lap en route to victory. Mishicot’s Kyle Kudick came out on top of a race long dog fight with Sobieski’s Sean Jerovetz to take second. Jerovetz finished third, followed by Green Bay drivers Kyle Lentz and Eddie Muenster.

Karcz’s stock car victory proved to be a major downer for Pensaukee’s Jerry Leary. The pair traded the lead for the balance of the contest, with Denmark’s Rick Mahlberg joining the trio during the final laps making it a three car tussle for the lead. Leary’s racer experienced mechanical woes on the final lap and slowed, handing the win to Karcz, his third of the year here. Mahlberg hung onto second. Dave Kropp of Green Bay took third, with Steve Thornton of Sobieski and Greenleaf’s Mike Gilson rounding out the top five.

John Mahlberg of Hilbert won the Manitowoc Motor and Machining $100 gift certificate for his sixth place finish in the stock car feature.

Plymouth’s Ryan Minster made the tow north worth his while. In just his second appearance of the year Minster pulled off the victory in the Brian Peterson Builders Grand Nationals, fending off Manitowoc’s Logan Rhode and Ben and Alex Stumpf of Brillion for the win. Plymouth’s Brian Gilles rounded out the top five finishers.

Stockbridge’s Adam Broehm beat Francis Creek’s Kraig Koehler at the line to collect the street stock feature. Koehler settled for the runnerup spot, followed by New Holstein’s Tim Mueller, Manitowoc’s Brand Laurent and Kewaunee’s Jordan Parma.

Oconto’s Ralph Liegios Jr. won the sport four feature.
