SIEFERT SWEEPS 141 MODIFIED ACTION

(Francis Creek, WI) June 4 – Defending track champion Jared Siefert of Green Bay led every lap en route to victory in the Modified feature Saturday night at 141 Speedway. Siefert also netted a heat win, giving his a sweep for the evening.
A total of 104 cars were on hand, including 20 Modifieds, 13 Brian Peterson Builders Grand Nationals, 20 Stock Cars, 23 Sportmods, 16 Street stocks and 12 Sport 4’s.
Siefert took the lead at the drop of the green and never looked back. Denmark’s RM Van Pay squeezed inside of De Pere’s Johnny Whitman on the final lap going into turn three to snatch second away from the rookie Whitman, who took third. Green Bay drivers Eddie Muenster and Kyle Lentz took fourth and fifth, respectively.
Pulaski’s JJ Anderson passed Oconto’s Rob Charapada for the lead with five laps to go and went on to win the Sportmod feature. Charapada fought off a fast closing Troy Jerovetz, who took third. Abrams’ Scott Boyea and Jesse Brey of Two Rivers rounded out the top five finishers.
It was a Schneider Brothers sweep in the Grand National sportsman class, as Chilton’s Steve Schneider passed Manitowoc’s Logan Rhode for the lead with two laps to go to win the feature. Steve’s brother Tom Schneider muscled his way inside of Rhode to take second. Rhode settled for third, followed by Brillion’s Ben Stumpf and defending track champion TJ Smith of Menasha.
Pulaski’s Junior Karcz fought off Oconto Falls’ Jon Courchaine to win his second stock car feature of the year. Courchaine posted his best performance of the year taking second, followed by Greenleaf’s Mike Gilson, Saukville’s Roger Johnson and Kewaunee’s Todd Augustaine.
Francis Creek’s Kraig Koehler dusted the field, cruising to victory in the street stock feature. Greenville’s Danny Gracyalny came home in second, followed by Stockbridge’s Adam Broehm , Kaukauna’s Matt Drawenek and Two Rivers Dave Gauger Sr.
Green Bay’s Brandon Kaye captured the sport four feature.
Suamico’s Andy Kleczka was the lucky winner of the $100 Manitowoc Motor and Machining gift certificate, good for All Star Performance and ARP race parts.
