NINMER COLLECTS FIRST 141 SPEEDWAY GRAND NATIONAL FEATURE

(Francis Creek, WI) Aug. 10– Cleveland’s Chad Ninmer led from the drop of the green and captured his first feature win at 141 Speedway in the Brian Peterson Grand Nationals. Ninmer held off a late race charge from Milwaukee’s Dan Schumacher came up just shy placing second. Kevin Naidl of Whitelaw took third, Tim Reichenberger of Neenah fourth and defending track champion Don Sorce of West Allis fifth.
All of the six divisions had clean sweep feature winners. A total of 107 cars showed up to compete, including 21 Hansel Trucking IMCA modifieds, 17 Brian Peterson Grand Nationals, 19 IMCA stock cars, 17 Tisler Salvage street stocks, 21 Hansel Trucking IMCA northern sportmods and 12 sport fours.
New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore took the commanding lead away from Kurt Moeller of Seymour with three laps to go and went on to win the caution free IMCA modified feature. Kilgore started 12th and worked his way up to the front as laps went on. Moeller had a sizeable lead over the field and had his sights on his first ever win until Kilgore took over. Moeller placed season best second with TJ Smith of Menasha third, Seymour’s Jamie Schmidt fourth and Brad Lautenbach of New Franken fifth.
Defending track champion John Heinz of Green Bay took the lead with two laps to go and captured the feature win in the IMCA Stock Cars. Scott Stewart of Oconto grabbed the second spot on the last lap with Logan Rhode of Whitelaw third, Mike Coel of Pulaski was led four laps but fell back to the fourth spot at the line and Dustin Loberger of Oconto fifth.
In the Hansel Trucking IMCA Sport Mods rookie Hunter Parsons of Green Bay and Andy Kleczka of Suamico battled for numerous laps until lap 11 when Kleczka made the pass and secured the lead to capture the feature win. Parsons settled for second with Brandon Long of Suamico third, De Pere’s Greg Potts fourth and Tracey Wassenberg of Shawano fifth.
Defending track champion Kraig Koehler of Francis Creek took the lead on lap 7 and survived numerous cautions to capture the feature win in the Tisler Salvage Street Stocks. Current point leader Paul Diefenthaler of Manitowoc took the second spot with Josh McDonald of Hilbert third, young Justin Mahlberg of Denmark fourth and Matt Reinke of Reedsville fifth.
Father Jeff Brehmer of Pulaski beats out his son Matt Brehmer in the sport four main. Brian Johnson of Oconto Falls third and Abrams Mike Montie fourth.
