KILGORE, SCHUENEMANN COLLECT 141 SPEEDWAY FALL CLASSIC MAINS

(Francis Creek, WI) October 6 –2012 modified track champion Shawn Kilgore of New Franken snatched the lead from Kewaunee veteran Eugene Gregorich with two laps to go and went on to win the modified feature on night #2 of the Northern Concrete Creek Classic at 141 Speedway Saturday night..
Gregorich came up short in 2nd after leading all but 1 lap. In stock car action Mark Schuenemann of Boulder Junction wheeled his new car recently purchased from Junior Karcz and wheeled it to victory lane for the first time ever at 141.
Schuenemann held off a charge from Oconto Falls Kyle Frederick who placed 2nd. Second Generation driver Devin Snellenberger of Pulaski picks up 3rd with Luxemburg driver Dave the “Hammer” Degrave in 4th.
Joey Taycher of Mackville exchanges the lead with Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz numerous times but holds on to capture his first creek classic feature win. Algoma’s Todd Dart does double duty and takes 3rd with weekly drivers Josh Long of Suamico in 4th followed by Brian Bruechert of Kewaunee in 5th.
In the Hobby Stocks it was a tight battle upfront between Rob Waechter and Scott Boulanger in the closing laps with Boulanger winning in a borrowed car from Ryan Rohr. Boulanger actually had a clean sweep in the hobby stocks with his heat win in night 1 of the Creek Classic.
Oshkosh’s Jerry Kope had a clean sweep in the Tisler Salvage Street Stock by winning his heat in night 1 and the feature the next night. His teammate Jerry Winkler of Oshkosh finished 2nd and Rob Maule out of Wilmot made the trip worth it by picking up 3rd.
In the Brian Peterson Grand Nationals it was Roger Lee of Wind Lake who took the lead just a couple laps into the feature and goes on to capture back to back Creek Classic wins. Brain Johnson gets a huge lead in the Sport 4s and captures the feature win.
A total of 303 cars checked in to compete during the two day event.
Next Saturday October 13 141 Speedway will host the annual “Night of Mayhem” presented by Riverside Foods and Tisler Salvage.
