ARNESON CAPTURES FIRST EVER 141 SPEEDWAY IMCA FEATURE FLAG

(Francis Creek, WI) June 30 — Oconto Falls Lance Arneson passed Frog Station’s Dan Ratajczak for the lead on lap nine and fought off points leader Jared Siefert of Green Bay to capture his first, 20 lap IMCA modified feature of the year here at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek Wednesday.

Siefert padded his points lead with a second place finish. Ratajczak hung on for third place money, followed by Green Bay’s Eddie Muenster and Denmark’s Tim Czarneski.

Pulaski’s Rod Snellenberger scored his second straight, 20 lap IMCA stock car feature. Snellenberger survived a caution with five laps to go and fought off his buddy and co-worker Junior Karcz to take the win. Karcz took second, followed by Green Bay’s Rick Dix who posted his best performance here with a third. Oconto’s Steven Stewart and Algoma’s Shawn Havel rounded out the top five.

De Pere’s Johnny Whitman netted his second, 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature win, fending off Oconto’s Travis Cain late in the race. Cain held on for second, followed by Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz, Mishicot’s Ricky Mott, who posted his best finish of the year in fourth, and Pulaski’s Andy Kleczka.

Algoma’s Marcus Moede dodged Kewaunee’s Luke Lemmens nearly all race long and went on to win the caution free, 20 lap IMCA hobby stock feature. Lemmens hung on for second, followed by Kewaunee’s Frank Paul, Luxemburg’s Aaron Zellner and Luxemburg’s Chad Kaminski.

Pulaski’s Sam Ambrosius took over the points lead in the sport four division after winning his second straight feature.

Next Wednesday night, July 7 will be sponsored by Penelopy’s Pizza of Chilton. The grand nationals will be the guest class.
