OUTLAW MODIFED CLASS ADDED TO 141 SPEEDWAY CREEK CLASSIC OCT. 7 & 8
(Rules allow USMTS, UMP and WISSOTA style mods to compete)
(Francis Creek, WI) October 3 — An additional “no holds barred” true outlaw modified class has been added to the Creek Classic October 7 and 8 at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.
This class will feature wide open motor and tire rules, and will allow drivers to run with an 8 inch spoiler. We’re still going to run our regular modified class with our weekly track rules we’ve used all year, for the payoff which has been posted on our website,” said track promoter Bruce Conard. “We’ve got a lot drivers from southern Wisconsin and Illinois who have the roller motors and spoilers and they want to run. There is enough interest to add the class, which will allow USMTS, UMP and WISSOTA style modifieds to compete as well.”
The “Outlaw” modified class will offer the same $1200 to win, $150 to start payout, based upon a 20 car field.
Eight divisions of racing will take place on Friday and Saturday October 7 and 8. In action will be the track’s weekly, Saturday night headlining class the Modifieds. Late Models will also be in action, along with Grand Nationals, Stock Cars, Sportmods, Street stocks, Hobby stocks and Sport 4′s.
Racing gets underway at 5 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
There will be live entertainment on Friday night with the band Oil Can Harry and Running Blind performing on Saturday night. Free camping will be allowed on the grounds beginning Wednesday night. The raindate for this event, if needed, will be Sunday October 9.
