BUMPER TO BUMPER IRA OUTLAWS RETURN TO 141 SPEEDWAY SEPTEMBER 1
(Francis Creek, WI) Aug. 28 – The high-flying, 900 horsepower winged warriors with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw sprint car series will invade 141 Speedway’s high-banked, third-mile clay oval Sunday, September 1.
The fastest machines on dirt in the Midwest will be making their second trip of the year to 141. During the last appearance of the IRA at 141 on May 26 defending champion Bill Balog of Hartland won the 30 lap A main. Joining Balog on the podium for post race ceremonies were Sheboygan Falls veteran Steve Meyer and Beaver Dam rookie sensation Jeremy Schultz, who placed second and third, respectively. 32 sprinters were on hand May 26 with another full field expected September 1.
In qualifying the IRA Outlaws will attempt to smash the existing track record of 10.750, which was set by Fredonia’s Mike Kertscher on May 27, 2012. It was the first sub 11 second lap turned at the Speedway since it was converted to dirt in 2010.
Joining the IRA for the Sunday special will be the Tisler Salvage street stocks and mini sprints.
Gates open at 4 p.m. IRA warm ups begin at 6 p.m. with qualifying and racing to follow. For more information call (815) 260 2558 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
