BUMPER TO BUMPER IRA OUTLAWS READY TO TACKLE 141 SPEEDWAY

(Francis Creek, WI) May 13 – The high-powered, Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw sprint series is ready to take on Wisconsin’s newest dirt track, 141 Speedway on Sunday May 30.

Recently IRA president Steve Sinclair toured the high-banked, third-mile clay oval. “I can’t tell you how impressed I am with the facilities there,” said Sinclair. “Bruce and Renee Conard have put together one of the finest short tracks in the Midwest. I’m anxious to see how fast our guys fly around that place. If all the conditions are right, we might have a sub-ten second lap. We’ll send a car up there for hot laps May 19 and we’ll see what kind of speeds they’ll be turning.”

Joining the 850-horsepower winged warriors will be the grand national sportsman and sport fours, who will compete in a track points night.

“What’s nice about that Sunday is fans can watch the Indy 500 and the World 600 inside of our sports bar on our big screen televisions,” said Bruce Conard. “We plan on having a band playing that day. It’s going to be a great Memorial Day weekend party. We’re looking forward to a great field of cars and we’ll see how fast the sprinters can tour our track. With most folks having off the following Memorial day we’re looking forward to a great crowd for this event.”

Spectator gates open at 4 p.m. that day, with hot laps at 5:30 p.m. with sprint car qualifying and racing to follow.

IMCA modifieds, stock cars, northern sportmods and sport fours will be the track’s four, weekly classes while IMCA hobby stocks, grand national sportsman and street stocks will be running on a rotating basis. The Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association will be running late model specials on June 16, July 14, September 1 and September 24 and 25 as part of the Fall Classic.
