141 SPEEDWAY CHAMPIONS TO BE CROWNED SATURDAY AUGUST 27
(Francis Creek, WI) Aug. 25 – Track champions in six divisions will be crowned Saturday, August 27 at
141 Speedway in Francis Creek for Larry’s Distributing/Budweiser night at the races.
Most of the points titles will go right down the final night of racing.
The tightest points battle of divisions is the Modifieds. Sobieski’s Sean Jerovetz is seeking his first ever track title. He holds a 10 point lead over Green Bay veteran Eddie Muenster. De Pere rookie Johnny Whitman is third 13 points out while Mishicot’s Kyle Kudick is fourth just 19 points out of first.
Pulaski’s Junior Karcz holds a comfortable 28 point margin over Denmark’s Rick Mahlberg in the stock car class. Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz has a four point lead over Suamico’s Josh Long in the Sportmods. Suamico’s Andy Kleczka is third 22 points out of first.
In the street stocks Greenville’s Danny Gracyalny holds a 31 point lead over Stockbridge’s Adam Broehm. Defending track champion TJ Smith of Menasha holds a 15 point edge over Chilton’s Steve Schneider in the Brian Peterson Builders Grand Nationals while Oconto’s Ralph Liegois Jr. has a sizeable 38 point lead over Plymouth’s Zack Dickie in the sport fours. Racing gets underway at 6 p.m.
After championship night three nights of racing remain at the high-banked, third-mile, clay oval. There will be no racing on Saturday September 3 as the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints will make their third appearance of the year. Brian Peterson Builders Grand Nationals and sport fours will compete in a non-points night. October 7 and 8 the track will host the Creek Classic with the “Night of Mayhem” scheduled for Saturday, October 15.
