141 Speedway and IMCA Partner Back Up For The 2013 Season
After a full year of open and candid communication between 141 Speedway’s owner and promoter Bruce Conard and IMCA’s Jim Stannard, Bruce Conard has decided to sanction the Modifieds, Stock Cars and Northern SportMods for the 2013 season.
In 2011 141 Speedway went from a midweek show to a prime time Saturday night venue. With the program changing nights and clashing with existing tracks IMCA found it in their best interest to not sanction events at 141 Speedway.
Early in 2012, IMCA’s Jim Stannard began to re-establish a relationship with 141 Speedway. After several phone calls and meetings Jim and Bruce have come to an agreement to sanction the three IMCA classes.
The decision weighed heavily on Conard. A majority of the drivers who race weekly already hold an IMCA license and 141 Speedway has been following the IMCA rules package since sanctioning in 2010. Essentially, there would be little to no changes to an already well established program. With a newly mended relationship, Conard and IMCA have decided to partner up for the 2013 racing season for the better of both programs.
The season is slated to open April 12th and 13th, with two nights of racing. For more information check out www.141speedway.com or follow us on Facebook. Track phone is 920 863 3377. Email is us141speedway@yahoo.com.
