More than three dozen drivers took part on seven different events, which were put on in front of a hearty, wind blown crowd.

The final event of the 2010 season will be the Chilton Fall Classic which will be held Friday September 24 and Saturday September 25.

In order to accommodate the expected 300 plus race teams in eight different classes, 10 acres of adjacent property to the pit area on the south end of the the pits will be leased.

“We also plan on using the area behind our main entrance as a makeshift pit area for the race teams,” said track promoter Bruce Conard. “We’re gonna make this a huge event. Merle, Bob Cullen and Diane Schulz have done this special for many years and know what it takes to put on a great show. We’re happy to be part of it this year.”

The divisions that will be competing include: modifieds, stock cars, sportmods, late models, grand nationals, street stocks, hobby stocks and 4 cylinders. Free camping will be allowed on the grounds. There will be live entertainment after the races on both Friday and Saturday nights. For teams, pit parking is first come, first served. Breakfast will be served Saturday morning.

Adult tickets are $12.00 for Friday and $18.00 for Saturday. Students ages 11-15 are $10.00 each day. Kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult. Racing starts at 5 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday.

(Francis Creek, WI) Sept. 1 — Appleton’s Paul Parker dodged two caution periods and led every lap en route to capture the 25 lap, WDLMA late model feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

A total of 103 cars pulled through the pit gate, including 24 WDLMA late models, 20 IMCA modifieds, 18 stock cars, 17 northern sportmods and 22 sport fours.

Parker began sifting through lapped cars with ten laps to go. Shawano’s Tom Naeyaert came home second with Navarino’s Terry Anvelink placing third. Waukesha’s Rick Scheffler, the current WDLMA points leader, was forced to qualify into the feature through the semi-feature and charged from the back of the pack to finish seventh.

Little Suamico’s Sean Jerovetz swapped the lead with Two Rivers’ Kyle Kudick and fended off Kudick to win the caution free, 20 lap IMCA modified feature. Jerovetz also won his heat, netting a sweep for the evening.

Green Bay’s Jared Siefert captured the IMCA modified track championship.

Green Bay’s John Heinz fought off a few caution periods and Pulaski’s Junior Karcz to win the 20 lap IMCA stock car feature.

Rod Snellenberger took the division’s track title. Snellenberger wound up fourth, having battled back from the tail of the field after pitting under caution for a flat tire. The race was Snellenberger’s first since he suffered from kidney stones and missed races over the weekend. Snellenberger nipped his son Devin at the line to finish fourth.

Oconto’s Travis Cain fended off a late race charge by De Pere’s Johnny Whitman to capture the 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature.

Whitman won the division’s track title. The crown was his second within four days, as Whitman won the same crown at Seymour Speedway in Sunday.

Sheboygan’s Mike Zitzer swept action in the sport four class, winning his heat and his fourth feature of the year. Pulaski’s Sam Ambrosius captured the sport four track championship.

This Saturday night, September 4 the annual Dynamite Derby of Destruction “night of Mayhem”. Everything from bus races, trailer races, double O races, chain races relay races involving the track pond on the infield and much more is on tap. The action gets underway at 7 p.m.

FREDERICK WINS IMCA STOCK CAR BIG CASH

(Francis Creek, WI) Aug 25 – Kewaunee veteran Eugene Gregorich pulled off the upset of his career, holding off Green Bay’s Eddie Muenster to capture the 20 lap IMCA modified feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

The win netted Gregorich a cool $1,500.

Gillett’s Kyle Frederick executed a last lap pass on Bowler’s Greg Gutt, bringing the crowd to it’s feet and winning the $1,500 20 lap IMCA stock car feature.

A total of 110 cars pulled through the pit gate, including 30 IMCA modifieds, 24 stock cars, 21 northern sportmods, 15 grand nationals and 20 sport fours.

Gregorich led all 20 laps, but the contest was far from a gimme. Muenster charged from his 4th row starting spot into second by the halfway point. Muenster pressured Gregorich but the Kewaunee veteran sped away from the field during a late caution to take the win. Muenster took second, followed by points leader Jared Siefert of Green Bay, Green Bay’s Kyle Lentz and Seymour’s Brian Mullen.

In the IMCA stock car main, Frederick started deep in the field in 14th. Brillion’s Dan Nelson jumped into the lead from the pole, but the lead was wrestled away from Bowler’s Greg Gutt by lap seven. Frederick methodically picked off a car every lap or two, and found himself into third with five laps remaining.

Frederick battled past the second place car on the high side and pressured Gutt for the lead with two laps remaining. As the white flag was displayed Frederick snatched the lead from Gutt, and went on to victory. Gutt took second, followed by Green Bay’s John Heinz, and Greenleaf brothers Jamie and Jesse Colwell.

Oconto’s “Reckless Rob” Charapada earned his first ever 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature win here, fighting off Green Bay drivers Troy Jerovetz and Josh Long and several caution periods for the win. Jerovetz, Long, De Pere’s Johnny Whitman and New Franken’s Andy Kleczka rounded out the top five.

Brillion’s Alex Stumpf fought off several lapped cars and his brother Ben Stumpf to win the 20 lap grand national sportsman feature.

TJ Smith won the grand national sportman points title.

St. Peter’s Tim Simon swept action in the sport four division.

Next Wednesday night, September 1 will be round III of the Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association (WDLMA) late models presented by Custom Windows Plus. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m.. IMCA modified, stock cars, northern sportmods and sport fours will also compete in their track points championship night.

(Francis Creek, WI) Aug 18 – Points leader Jared Siefert of Green Bay passed Green Bay’s Kyle Lentz on lap 11 and went on to collect the 20 lap IMCA modified feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

A total of 96 cars pulled through the pit gate, including 28 IMCA modifieds, 21 stock cars, 14 northern sportmods, 16 street stocks and 17 sport fours.

Siefert started 10th on the grid and carefully plucked his way to second place by lap nine. After a restart on lap 10, Siefert coasted around Lentz to take the victory. Green Bay drivers Eric Van Iten and Eddie Muenster squeezed past Lentz to take second and third, respectively. Lentz took fourth followed by Seymour’s Jamie Schmidt.

Green Bay’s Josh Long fought off a fast closing Johnny Whitman of De Pere in the final laps to win his second, 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature of the year. Whitman padded his points lead with his second place. Trailing at the checkers were Oconto’s Rob Charapada, New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach and Oconto’s Travis Cain.

Pulaski’s Rod Snellenberger passed Gillett’s Kyle Frederick for the lead on lap eight and dodged a pair of late cautions to win his fourth, 20 lap IMCA stock car feature. Frederick took second place, followed by Rod’s 17 year old son Devin Snellenberger, Greenleaf’s Jamie Colwell and Oconto’s Scott Stewart.

Kewaunee’s Ed Anschutz swept action in the street stock class. Anschutz won his heat and passed Beaver Dam’s Aaron Streblow with five laps remaining to win the 20 lap main feature.

Sheboygan’s Mike Zitzer swept action in the sport fours, winning his heat race and his third 20 lap feature.

Racing will resume next Wednesday night at 7 p.m as American 3Fab of Green Bay, Tri County Heating of New Franken and 1st Choice Auto of Green Bay.

WHITMAN, MOEDE AND HUNGERFORD ALSO SWEEP THEIR RESPECTIVE CLASSES

(Francis Creek, WI) Aug. 13 — Frog Station’s Dan Ratajczak fought off a fast closing Shawn Kilgore of New Franken to capture the 20 lap IMCA modified feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

The “Frog Station Flash” also won his heat, scoring a clean sweep for the evening.

Ratajczak wasn’t the only driver to earn a clean sweep for the night, as De Pere’s Johnny Whitman, Algoma’s Marcus Moede and Little Chute’s Cody Hungerford accomplished the same feat in the IMCA northern sportmod, hobby stock and sport four classes, respectively.

Trailing Ratajczak at the checkers were Kilgore, Two Rivers Kyle Kudick, Green Bay’s Jared Siefert and Eric Van Iten of Green Bay.

De Pere’s Johnny “Hitman” Whitman captured his 10th IMCA northern sportmod feature win of the season on area ovals. Whitman sifted through lapped traffic in the final four laps to earn the win. Trailing at the checkers were Green Bay’s Josh Long, Oconto’s Travis Cain, Oconto’s Rob Charapada and New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach rounded out the top five finishers.

Greenleaf’s Jesse Colwell cruised to victory in the 20 lap IMCA stock car feature. Colwell was pressured by John Heinz of Green Bay. Heinz dropped out with one lap to go. Pulaski’s Junior Karcz came home second, followed by Saukville’s Roger Johnson, Gillett’s Kyle Frederick and Greenleaf’s Jamie Colwell.

Algoma’s Marcus Moede swept action in the IMCA hobby stock class, winning his heat and the 20 lap feature. Moede received heavy pressure from Kewaunee’s Luke Lemmens right down to the wire. Lemmens claimed second, followed by Luxemburg’s Chad Kaminski, Sturgeon Bay’s Brandon Peterson and Luxemburg’s Frank Paul.

Next Wednesday night, August 18 will be sponsored by WCUB radio and BBBS. The street stocks will be the guest class. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m..

(Francis Creek, WI) Aug 11– Green Bay’s Jared Siefert padded his points lead, as he passed Dave Zeitler with nine laps to go to capture the 20 lap IMCA modified feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

A caution flew on lap eight when Art Siefert, Jared’s dad, blasted the concrete wall hard coming out of turn four. When the caution resumed Siefert began working his way to the front, moving into second on the restart and blasting past Zeitler on lap 11 and cruised to victory. Muenster took second place at the finish, followed by Two Rivers Kyle Kudick, De Pere’s Dean Maurer and Denmark’s Tim Czarneski.

Two Rivers Jesse Brey scored a clean sweep in the IMCA northern sportmod class, winning his heat and fighting off Green Bay drivers Troy Jerovetz and Josh Long in the final laps the win the feature. Brey caught a break of sorts when leader Andy Kleczka dropped out with mechanical woes. Nonetheless Brey fought off Green Bay duo to take the win. Jerovetz, Long, De Pere’s Johnny Whitman and New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach rounded out the top five.

Dave “The Hammer” De Grave of Luxemburg fought off Green Bay’s John Heinz to win his first 20 lap IMCA stock car feature at 141 Speedway. Heinz took second, followed by Oconto’s Scott and Steven Stewart, with Greenleaf’s Jamie Colwell rounding out the top five. Points leader Rod Snellenberger broke his car in his heat race, and borrowed his son Devin’s car to run the feature. Rod Snellenberger took 16th while Pulaski’s Junior Karcz finished 8th and took over the points.

Manitowoc’s Travis Groelle netted a clean sweep in the grand national sportsman class, winning his heat and fending off Alex Stumpf of Brillion and Menasha’s TJ Smith to win the 20 lap feature. Smith, Stumpf, Sheboygan Falls’ Richard Hed and Chilton’s Steve Schneider rounded out the top five.

Oconto Falls Craig Vanderwetting scored a clean sweep in the sport fours.

This Friday night, August 13 Pro Label will sponsor a special event at 141 Speedway. A total of 94 cars pulled through the pit gate, including 32 IMCA stock cars, 20 northern sportmods, 18 grand nationals, 12 street stocks, and 12 sport fours.

Polesitter Shawn Wagner appeared headed for smooth sailing as the green flag dropped in the 30 lap contest. But Pulaski’s Junior Karcz stepped to the plate to challenge Wagner for the lead by lap 10. A pair of mid race cautions tightened the field, and Snellenberger, who started in row six, charged into second on lap 14 and battled Wagner for the lead. Four laps later Snellenberger made the pass on top, and cruised to victory. Wagner hung on for second, followed by brothers Jamie and Jesse Colwell of Greenleaf. Karcz rounded out the top five.

De Pere’s Johnny “Hitman” Whitman padded his points lead with a feature win, beating out New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach at the line for the win.

Don Sorce of West Allis collected his first 141 Speedway feature flag in the grand national sportsman class.

Kewaunee’s Ed “Eagle” Anschutz took the lead at the drop of the green, and led every lap en route to the caution free, 20 lap street stock feature. Anschutz received a stout challenge from Reedsville’s Matt Reinke during the last five laps.

Sheboygan’s Mike Zitzer won the sport four feature.

Rapid River, Michigan’s Matt Valliquette won the $100 Long Haul award sponsored by Webmaster Chewy of Tonet, WI.

Racing will take place next both Wednesday, Aug. 11 and Friday Aug. 13. Grand National Sportsman will be the guest class on Wednesday. Friday night’s program will be a full IMCA sanctioned, including modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks and sport 4′s. The show will be draw/redraw. This show will also be Fan Appreciation night as there will be free beer and a corn roast following the Friday night races.

(Francis Creek, WI) July 28– Navarino veteran Terry Anvelink drove around Brookfield’s Ted Dolhun on a lap three restart to capture the WDLMA 25 lap IMCA modified feature on at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

A total of 120 cars pulled through the pit gate, including 22 WDLMA late models, 22 IMCA modifieds, 28 stock cars, 21 northern sportmods, 16 sport fours and 11 vintage cars.

Anvelink started in row two and muscled past on the restart. Anvelink kept the lead through a handful of caution periods to capture the win. Kaukauna veteran Pete Parker made some progress, charging from fifth to second within ten laps. Parker hung on for second, followed by former WDLMA late model champion Russ Scheffler of Waukesha, Dolhun and New Berlin’s Bret Sievert rounding out the top five.

Veteran Dean Maurer sweated out several caution periods and a late race surge from Green Bay’s Eddie Muenster to win his first 20 lap feature. Muenster settled for second, followed by Two Rivers’ Kyle Kudick, Green Bay’s Kyle Lentz and Pulaski’s Brad Rohloff.

Green Bay’s John “JJ” Heinz scored a clean sweep of the IMCA stock car class, winning his heat and passing Rick Dix for the lead on lap five to win the 20 lap feature. Dix hung on for second in his best performance of the year, followed by Greenleaf’s Jesse Colwell, Pulaski’s Rod Snellenberger who battled his way into the show by winning the semi feature, and Saukville’s Roger Johnson.

New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach, coming off a spinal injury suffered one month ago in a racing accident, rebounded to capture the 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature. Lautenbach fought off a tenacious Johnny
Whitman of De Pere for the victory. Whitman took second, followed by last week’s feature winner Josh Long of Green Bay, Oconto’s Jeremy Cota and Oconto’s Travis Cain.

Pulaski’s Justin Vannieuwenhoven won the 20 lap sport four feature.

Earlier in the evening a pair of makeup features from July 7 were run in the IMCA modified and sport four classes, respectively, which were won by Green Bay’s Jared Siefert and Mishicot’s Dalton Cherney.

Next Wednesday night, August 4 will be the second annual “Clash at the Creek.” $700 will be paid out the winner of the IMCA stock car feature. Running with the stock cars will be the IMCA northern sportmods, grand nationals, street stocks and sport fours. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m..

(Francis Creek, WI) July 21 — Green Bay’s Eric Van Iten would not let a broken cheekbone stop him, as he passed Dean Maurer of De Pere for the lead on lap nine and went on to capture the 20 lap IMCA modified feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek Wednesday.

A total of 94 cars pulled through the pit gate, including 17 IMCA modifieds, 22 stock cars, 19 northern sportmods, 18 grand national sportsman and 16 sport fours.

Van Iten suffered the injury two weeks ago at Luxemburg Speedway when a rock broke through his helmet and cracked him cheekbone. Despite the swelling, Van Iten donned a larger helmet and went racing. Van Iten started fifth on the grid and wrestled the lead away from Maurer on lap 9. Points leader Jared Siefert scratched his way through the field and challenged Maurer, but wound up third. Green Bay’s Benji LaCrosse and Randy Markwardt Jr. of Sheboygan Falls rounded out the top five.

Green Bay’s John Heinz captured the 20 lap IMCA stock car feature. Pulaski’s Rod Snellenberger took second, followed by Shiocton’s Barry Van Straten, Gillett’s Kyle Frederick and Greenleaf’s Mike Gilson.

Green Bay’s Josh Long survived late race pressure from points leader Johnny Whitman of De Pere to win his first 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature. Whitman captured an earlier makeup feature and wound up second in the second A main. Oconto’s Travis Cain took third. New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach, who returned after suffering an back injury a few weeks ago at another track, finished fourth. conto Fall’s Eric Arneson rounded out the top five.

Earlier in the evening a makeup feature was run from two weeks ago in the IMCA stock cars. Saukville’s Roger Johnson won his first career feature since he began racing in 1994.

Chilton’s Steve Schneider scored a clean sweep in the grand national sportsman division, winning both his heat race and the caution filled 20 lap feature. A six car pileup on lap three tightened the field,
and sent points leader Ben Stumpf to the pits. He recovered to finish fifth. Schneider won and was trailed by Ben Stumpf of Brillion, Menasha’s TJ Smith, Schneider’s brother Tom Schneider and Alex Stumpf.

Points leader Sam Ambrosius padded his points lead with a feature win in the sport four division.

Next Wednesday night, July 28 will be the second appearance of the season by the Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association late models. This show was rained out two weeks prior. Racing gets underway at
7 p.m.

(Francis Creek, WI) July 7– Brillion’s Alex Stumpf fought off his brother Ben Stumpf at the line to win the grand national sportsman feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek Wednesday night.

Ben Stumpf settled for second, followed by Chilton’s Steve Schneider, Menasha’s TJ Smith and Fox Lake’s Ron Koenig.

Alex Stumpf also won his heat, scoring a sweep for the evening.

The remaining four divisions features were rained out. Fans can turn in their ticket stubs from this show to receive $5.00 off of admission for next Wednesday’s race.

Next Wednesday night, July 14 the WDLMA late models will make their second appearance of the season. More than 30 late models are expected to compete. The show will be sponsored by TA Motorsports/4 Season Lawn Care. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m.
