(Francis Creek, WI) Aug. 30 – The annual Dynamite Derby of Destruction’s “Night of Mayhem” will take place Saturday night, September 4 at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

On the agenda Saturday are a Double OO race, along with a Bump and Run contest. The ever popular chain races will take place on the third-mile, clay oval along with the famous bus and trailer races.

New to the Derby this year will be special relay races in which the teams will use both cars and canoes to paddle their way across the infield pond. “We’ve also got a few surprises in store for the fans,” said track promoter Bruce Conard. “It will be pretty much unlike anything that’s ever been done here before.”

The pit gate opens at 4 p.m. The main grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Pit passes are $20.00 a piece and there is no entry fee. Adult tickets are $10.00. 9 and under are free with a paid adult. Fans are encouraged to get there early to grab their seats as the grandstand typically fills up fast for this event.

You can follow 141 Speedway on both Facebook and Twitter, and also at the track’s website 141speedway.com. 141 Speedway is located 20 minutes south of Green Bay and 45 minutes east of the Fox Cities off county highway “R” in Francis Creek. The track phone is 920 863 3377.

PAYOFF GUARANTEED WITH NO MINIMUM CAR COUNT

(Francis Creek, WI) Aug 20 — IMCA modified and IMCA stock car drivers will race for a $1,000 top prize on Wednesday night, August 25 at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.

The evening’s sponsors for this event are American 3Fab and 1st Choice Auto of Green Bay, along with Tri County Heating of New Franken. They have contributed extra money into the payout for this night, along with the Top Hat Lounge of Manitowoc, S & B Trailers of Little Suamico, CZ’s Bushville Lanes in Denmark and 21 Guns Saloon in Denmark.

The IMCA northern sportmods will compete for an addition $100 for the feature winner. “We’re not done yet rounding up more sponsors to boost the purse for our drivers that night,” said track promoter Bruce Conard. “These payoffs are guaranteed, and are not based upon a minimum car count.” The $1000 each to win for the mods and stocks will be for first place. The normal first place money would be awarded on a regular night will be paid to the second place finisher on August 25 and so on and so forth down the line.

Grand national sportsman and sport fours will also be competing and additional sponsors are currently being sought to raise their payoff during this special event.

“We’ve been blessed with some great sponsors who’ve stepped to the plate for us and it’s great,” said Conard. “When many tracks car counts typically take a slight dip in August, ours are on the rise as the track surface has gotten smooth.”

For more information, please check out the track’s website at 141speedway.com. You can also follow 141 Speedway on both Twitter and Facebook. 141 Speedway is located 20 miles south of Green Bay on County “R” in Francis Creek. For more information call 920 905 1112.

(Francis Creek, WI) Aug 19 – Although it will still be called the Chilton Fall Classic, Wisconsin’s most popular two day dirt track racing event will move to the state’s newest dirt track 141 Speedway in Francis Creek on Friday September 24 and Saturday September 25. The raindate is Sunday, September 26.

The Chilton track has remained closed this year, and one of the event’s promoters, Merle Lisowe, has helped whip 141’s new clay surface into one of the top racing surfaces in the area. “We’re pretty excited to be bringing the show to 141,” said Lisowe, from Chilton. “The facilities are top notch and we’re bringing in pretty much the same classes. The format will pretty much remain the same.”

In order to accommodate the expected 300 plus race teams in eight different classes, 10 acres of adjacent property to the pit area on the south end of the the pits will be leased.

“We also plan on using the area behind our main entrance as a makeshift pit area for the race teams,” said track promoter Bruce Conard. “We’re gonna make this a huge event. Merle, Bob Cullen and Diane Schulz have done this special for many years and know what it takes to put on a great show. We’re happy to be part of it this year.”

The divisions that will be competing include: modifieds, stock cars, sportmods, late models, grand nationals, street stocks, hobby stocks and 4 cylinders. Modifieds and late models will race for $1500 to win while grand nationals and stock cars and street stocks will compete for a $1000 top prize. Hobby stocks, sportmods and 4 cylinders will race for $650 to win.

Free camping will be allowed on the grounds. There will be live entertainment after the races on both Friday and Saturday nights. For teams, pit parking is first come, first served. Breakfast will be served Saturday morning.

Adult tickets are $12.00 for Friday and $18.00 for Saturday. Students ages 11-15 are $10.00 each day. Kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult. Racing starts at 5 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday.

For more information, please check out the track’s website at 141speedway.com. A website has also been setup for this event. It is chiltonfallinvite.com.

(Francis Creek, WI) Aug 9 — ABC’s popular “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” television show is teaming up with 141 Speedway drivers Tim Czarneski of Denmark and Chad Kaminski of Luxemburg for their special event on Friday, August 13th at Wisconsin’s newest third-mile, clay oval presented by Pro Label.

More than two dozen employees with the show, along with nearly 200 volunteers associated with the home rebuilding project will be in attendance at the special event, which will be highlighted by fan and driver appreciation night with free beer and a corn roast following the races. The team from California has been in the area for two weeks, prepping for this latest show.

The Makeover team is in the area to build a home in 105 hours at a location which isn’t too far away from the race track. The exact location will be announced on Saturday, August 14. “We’re still looking for volunteers for this project, but it’s going to be huge,” said Rob Larsen from Northern Concrete, one of the businesses donating time for this project. “We’ll begin pouring the foundation at 2 a.m. on Sunday August 15. We can’t say exactly where it’s being built only that it’s in northeast Wisconsin.”

Czarneski will sport the sponsors Lexington Homes and Northern Concrete on his IMCA modified, and Kaminski will do the same on his IMCA hobby stock. “We were going to race down in Iowa but we’ve decided to support 141 because it’s close to home,” said Czarneski, known as “CZ” in the racing circles. “We’re donating the ad space on our cars because they’ve stepped to the plate for this project, and it’s great. We love what the Conard’s have done in terms of improvements to the facilities. They work on that place seven days a week. The track is now smooth and car counts keep coming up each week.”

Nearby Luxemburg Speedway is off on August 13th and many drivers who have yet to give the new clay at 141 Speedway a try are expected to compete on August 13th.

IMCA modifieds, stock cars, northern sportmods, hobby stocks and sport fours will compete beginning at 7 p.m.

For more information on how the get involved with this project, please check out the website lexingtonneighborhoods.com.

(Francis Creek, WI) July 15 — A $700 top prize awaits the IMCA stock car driver who wins the “Clash at the Creek II” at 141 Speedway on Wednesday, August 4.

The class “too tough to tame” in northeast Wisconsin will be the headlining act on Wisconsin’s newest, third-mile, clay oval. The Wednesday race will replace the Saturday August 7 date which was on 141 Speedway’s original schedule. After much debate and consideration, that date has been cancelled. “We’re doing this out of respect for Tony Bouche and his family for the Nathan Bouche Memorial,” said track promoter Bruce Conard. “Tony’s been a big supporter of 141 Speedway. The stock cars have provided some of the best racing at our track all year. This is just one way to reward them. We hope everyone comes out and supports the show on August 4.”

20 cars will start the 25 lap feature, which will pay out track, state, regional and national points. The big money is expected to draw some of the top stock car drivers across the region. IMCA northern sportmods, grand national sportsman, street stocks and sport fours will also compete. The IMCA classes will be paid state, regional and national points. A draw/redraw format will be employed for all divisions that night.

Webmaster Chewy of Tonet has sponsored a $100 long haul award to the driver in any division who makes the furthest tow for the event.

Pit pass prices for this event will be $20.00 for members, $25.00 for non-members.

For more information, please check out the track’s website at 141speedway.com. You can also follow 141 Speedway on both Twitter and Facebook. 141 Speedway is located 20 miles south of Green Bay on County “R” in Francis Creek. For more information call 920 905 1112.

(Francis Creek, WI) July 15 — 141 Speedway in Francis Creek has announced that the Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association late models (WDLMA) will make an appearance at the high-banked third mile, clay oval on Wednesday night, July 28.

The show is a raindate for the show scheduled for July 14 that was washed out.

The IMCA hobby stocks scheduled appearance for the night has been cancelled.

It will be the second appearance of the season for the WDLMA late models at Wisconsin’s newest dirt track, following the largest crowd of the year June 16 when Waukesha’s Rick Scheffler bested the
field of 28 late models. “We thought for our first appearance the staff there treated us great and the facilities are top notch,” said WDLMA president Bill Behling. “And when we called everyone about the
raindate, most everyone was for it. It should work out well for both parties.”

The night will be highlighted by a 25 lap feature, which pays $1,200 to win. In addition, a special “Civil War” 10 lap grudge race will take place, featuring the racing family Scheffler’s versus the Anvelink’s.

The Scheffler brothers Russ and Rick will race their WDLMA cars against the father-son team of Terry and Nick Anvelink. The special grudge race is sponsored by Behling Circle Track Equipment of Butler and B & B Race Engines of Appleton.

Not to be outdone are the track’s weekly classes, which will be IMCA modifieds, northern sportmods, stock cars and sport fours which will compete in a full program. The pit area opens at 4 p.m. The spectator gates open at 5 p.m. The first green flag flies at 7 p.m.

For more information, please check out the track’s website at 141speedway.com. You can also follow 141 Speedway on both Twitter and Facebook. 141 Speedway is located 20 miles south of Green Bay on County “R” in Francis Creek. For more information call 920 905 1112.
