(Francis Creek, WI) - Gandrud Chevrolet of Green Bay is offering cash for top performers who run with crate engines in the IMCA northern sportmod class at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek in 2009. Drivers who run a crate motor are eligible for $800 in cash bonuses at season's end. The track champion of the division will receive $400. Second and third place finishers in the final point standings will receive $250 and $150, respectively. "We sure appreciate Gandrud's support in our inaugural season with the IMCA sportmods," said race director Mike Panure. "They've helped the track out in the past with promotions and getting them involved with this deal is great." IMCA northern sportmods will compete a total of 10 times (nine Saturday nights and one Wednesday night) this season, with raindates set in late August.
